In the former, where it says, "because of being endowed with sympathy, it is called wholesome intention": Jing states that one should know the seven kinds of sympathy are simply the conceptual representations of loving-kindness and compassion; loving-kindness and compassion have non-ill-will as their nature, whereas real loving-kindness and compassion have wisdom as their essence. It is also permissible that the seven kinds are still intention itself, which is named "sympathy" because it is conjoined with sympathy.
