Fifth, explaining the illumination of the remaining dwellings corresponds to the comparative superiority of fruition in the Daśabhūmika-śāstra. The benefits of fruition are four: first, the fruition of pliancy, which means cultivating practices in the thought of stage fulfillment to train, discipline, and purify, etc.; second, the fruition of setting forth, which means in the fulfillment of the stage further gathering clear understanding to initiate this fruition of setting forth; third, the fruition of gathering recompense, referring to being a king of Jambudvīpa, etc.; fourth, the fruition of the Buddha's wisdom, referring to boundless functional applications. This treatise agrees with that, except that that [treatise's] second is the first here, which explains the fruition of setting forth, having doctrine and metaphor.
