普於一切說法所作下，第三明此所作事如實知。地經明稠林有十一：一、眾生心行稠林；二、煩惱行；三、業行；四、根行；五、信行；六、性行；七、深心行；八、使行；九、生行；十、習氣行；十一、三聚差別行稠林。

From "Universally regarding all that is to be done in expounding the Dharma..." downward, the third [part] explains knowing these tasks as they truly are. The Daśabhūmika Sūtra explains that there are eleven thickets: 1. the thicket of mental activity of sentient beings; 2. the thicket of affliction activity; 3. the thicket of karmic activity; 4. the thicket of faculty activity; 5. the thicket of faith activity; 6. the thicket of nature activity; 7. the thicket of profound disposition activity; 8. the thicket of latent tendency activity; 9. the thicket of birth activity; 10. the thicket of habit-energy activity; 11. the thicket of the distinct activities of the three categories of beings.
