言稠林行者，如經說有十一，地論云：稠林者眾多義故，難知義故，行者不正信義故，廣說如彼論。
As for "activities in the thicket": as the sūtra explains, there are eleven. The Daśabhūmika-śāstra says: "'Thicket' carries the meaning of multiplicity, the meaning of being difficult to know; 'activity' carries the meaning of improper faith," as is extensively explained in that treatise.
