"Accomplishing such capability to receive the Dharma-dhāraṇī": as the sūtra says, "This bodhisattva, at the place of a single Buddha, listens to and receives the Dharma with ten asaṃkhyeyas of hundred-thousands of dhāraṇī doors; as he listens to the Dharma from one Buddha, so it is with the rest of immeasurable and limitless Buddhas." "Bodhisattva, through this superior unobstructed understanding, bringing forth speech, able to sit on such a delicate and wonderful Dharma throne": through the other three kinds of eloquence he brings forth the eloquence of phrasing; his actions being sovereign, he is capable of ascending the Dharma throne, as the four unobstructed understandings are extensively explained in that sūtra. As for "if in that": the Commentary says it means within the great assembly when expounding the Dharma. As for "if in that place": it means the place in the country where the Dharma is expounded. As for "proclaiming the correct Dharma through all possible approaches": according to the suitability of their faculties, he expounds the correct Dharma through all those Dharma approaches. From "if by virtue of this..." up to "all are accomplished": by virtue of these faculties of sentient beings, whether it is called exhortation or comfort, all such capabilities are completely matured.
