為欲開示那落迦相等者，為欲開示有情令生落迦想故，經中說墮險惡趣。為欲開示自性體事等者，為正開示地獄體事故經復須說那落迦也。

"In order to demonstrate the appearance of the hells," and so forth: in order to reveal it to sentient beings and cause them to form the conception of hells, the sūtra speaks of falling into perilous, evil destinies. "In order to demonstrate the intrinsic substantial reality," and so forth: in order to properly reveal the substantial reality of the hells, the sūtra must also speak of *naraka*.
