言增上慢者，令其捨離此增上慢者，未盡諸漏謂盡諸漏，增上慢人由漏盡力令彼捨慢。
As for "the arrogant: causing them to abandon this arrogance": when one has not exhausted taints but claims to have exhausted taints, through the power of the exhaustion of taints one causes such arrogant persons to abandon their arrogance.
