13.280

泰云：道理一切無漏觀中，愛既不行即非賴耶。今四句等中從多取也。備云：上辨轉依云依於金剛時始滅賴耶，故知八九十地並名賴耶。今此第二句中，羅漢等三各滅一種賴耶名，故並名不成，謂羅漢獨覺斷愛種名不成，不退菩薩永伏現以名不成，諸佛如來種習俱盡名不成。

Tai says: 'In principle, during all taintless contemplations, since craving does not operate, it is not the ālaya. Here, among the four alternatives, it is taken from the majority.' Bei says: 'The above distinction of āśrayaparavṛtti says that the ālaya is first extinguished when relying on the adamantine state; therefore, we know that the eighth, ninth, and tenth stages are all called ālaya. Now, in this second alternative, arhats and the other two each extinguish one designation of ālaya, and thus are all called non-possessing: arhats and pratyekabuddhas sever the seeds of craving and are called non-possessing; non-retrogressing bodhisattvas eternally suppress active manifestation and are called non-possessing; the Buddhas, Tathāgatas, have exhausted both seeds and latent tendencies and are called non-possessing.'
