次釋通三有為相中觀生滅。言住、異、俱生所顯者，以於生相義說住異，但觀生時即觀住異。又觀生滅能起厭離等，此文分明但說生滅二相是無常相，加於住異名有為相。

Next, resolving the contemplation of arising and cessation among the three characteristics of the conditioned. Saying 'abiding and difference are manifested concurrently with arising' means that because abiding and difference are spoken of in the sense of the characteristic of arising, merely contemplating the time of arising is contemplating abiding and difference. Furthermore, contemplating arising and cessation can arouse revulsion and so forth. This text clearly states only that the two characteristics of arising and cessation are the characteristics of impermanence, and when abiding and difference are added to them, they are called the characteristics of the conditioned.
