自下解釋三章，即為三段。解初章中，初解；後結。解中有二：初解因緣；二、解識住。解因緣中，初略；後廣。

Below, the explanation of the three chapters comprises three sections. In explaining the first chapter, first it explains, and then it concludes. Within the explanation there are two parts: first, explaining the causes and conditions; second, explaining the stations of consciousness. Within the explanation of causes and conditions, first briefly, then extensively.
