基云：謂此中唯為造色觀，無期觀大種，故定中不變為大種，從定前影像本質色說亦同得名大造，前據辨期心變大種為論，故定中造色亦變為大種，此處不然，故有別也。

Ji says, "This means that here one only performs contemplation of derived form, without the intended contemplation of the great elements, and therefore during concentration it does not transform into great elements; speaking from the original substance form of the image prior to concentration, it can equally be called created by the great elements. The earlier discussion was based on discerning the intended mind transforming into great elements; hence during concentration, derived form also transforms into great elements. This place is not like that; hence there is a difference."
