不應謂能生之因，即是滅因，其相異故者，景云：如譬喻說：法生有因，法滅無因，取大乘義作如是說，阿毘曇者說：滅有因。

Regarding 'it should not be said that the cause capable of producing is precisely the cause of cessation, because their characteristics are different': Jing says: As the Dārṣṭāntikas say: 'The arising of phenomena has a cause; the cessation of phenomena has no cause'—taking the Mahāyāna doctrine, they speak thus; the Abhidharmikas say: 'Cessation has a cause.'
