14.386

然此一種能生色、非色法俱是因緣，約此亦有不定過，亦可更以比量破生滅兩相，其有一因。應立量云：汝有因之滅應非是滅（宗），以不異生因生故（因），猶如其生（喻），應更覆量破之。

However, this single [seed] capable of producing material and non-material dharmas is in both cases a direct cause; regarding this there is also the fallacy of indeterminacy. One could also further refute with an inference that the two characteristics of arising and cessation have a single cause. One should formulate the inference: 'The cessation with a cause posited by you should not be cessation (thesis), because it is produced without being different from the cause of arising (reason), just like its arising (example).' One should further overturn it with an inference to refute it.
