Regarding the three types of trainees: as the Abhidharmasamuccaya states, all wholesome phenomena of those seeking liberation have the meaning of those in training. From the stage of accumulating provisions onward, they are called those seeking liberation; a portion of the aggregates of ten realms and four bases belongs to those in training. For those who have reached the culmination of all precepts of training, all wholesome phenomena belong to those beyond training; that is, a portion of the aggregates of ten realms and four bases belongs to those beyond training. All wholesome, unwholesome, and indeterminate phenomena of ordinary persons, as well as defiled and indeterminate phenomena of those in training, and indeterminate phenomena of those beyond training, together with unconditioned phenomena—regarding ordinary persons, this excludes those seeking liberation; for those in training, defiled states are as appropriate: unwholesome, concealed, and unconcealed-indeterminate are defilements, […] eight realms, eight bases, and a portion of the aggregates.
