測云：五識有三種：一、種子成熟；二、現行成熟；三、自在成熟，故說無五根識流可得。若無現根，根唯有種，無餘。

Ce says: The five consciousnesses have three kinds: first, maturation of seeds; second, maturation of active manifestations; third, maturation of mastery; therefore it is said that a continuum of consciousness without the five faculties can be found. If there is no active faculty, the faculty has only seeds and nothing else.
