解云：如次文說生長門義是處義，前能生後無間相續，方順生長義，為此義故，羅漢後眼不名為處，餘十一處準知。

Explanation: As the subsequent text states, the meaning of a gateway of growth and production is the meaning of āyatana; only when the preceding can produce the subsequent in uninterrupted continuity does it conform to the meaning of growth and production. For this reason, the subsequent eye of an arhat is not called an āyatana; the remaining eleven āyatanas should be understood accordingly.
