二、助伴門，景云：七色根。藉於色等非色為助伴方能取境，餘有緣根具藉，道理意識相應心及心所是根性者，但依末那不依色根，此中總說故言餘有義根。

Second is the section on companions. Jing says: The seven form faculties rely on form and so forth, non-form, as companions before they can grasp objects; the remaining faculties that have cognitive objects rely on them fully. In principle, the mind and mental factors associated with mental consciousness that have the nature of faculties rely only on manas and do not rely on form faculties; here, speaking generally, it says the remaining faculties that have objects.
