言於義清淨捨所顯，基云：捨謂捨根，諸善性根外，餘根能生雜染捨根，則除八善根外前五受善等一分，并是善一分則是清淨捨所顯。此約為所緣義，能生雜染捨等也。

Hence it says: 'revealed by the abandonment of purity in the object.' Ji says: 'Abandonment' refers to the equanimity faculty. Outside of the faculties of wholesome nature, other faculties can generate the equanimity faculty of defilement; then, excluding the eight wholesome faculties, a portion of the wholesome feelings among the preceding five feelings, as well as being a wholesome portion, are revealed by pure equanimity. This is stated in terms of the meaning of being an object, capable of generating defiled equanimity and so forth.
