Ji says: "The nine primary bases for the truth of suffering are the seven physical, life, and equanimity. The five of the cause of suffering are the five feelings, being the root of the defilement of fruitions. Regarding all for the truth of cessation: the defiled are severed and obtained, while the purified are realized and obtained. The eight of the path can be known. Another explanation: the truth of suffering takes the equanimity faculty; in the truth of the cause of suffering, equanimity is excluded and the mind is taken. If in the truth of suffering the feeling of equanimity is not taken and the mental faculty is taken, then the truth of the cause of suffering takes the equanimity faculty."
