因果中，因如本地分已說，謂不正思惟。果，謂一切後有支者，行等十支並是無明之果。又於真如及諸諦，不能解了者，謂於真如及安立諦不能解了，正釋無明是其因體。

Regarding cause and fruition: the cause is as already explained in the *Maulī Bhūmiḥ*, namely, improper reflection. The fruition refers to all links of subsequent existence: the ten links from formations onward are all fruitions of ignorance. Furthermore, 'being unable to comprehend tathatā and the truths' means being unable to comprehend tathatā and the established truths, directly explaining that ignorance is the substance of the cause.
