17.315

基云：謂依四禪近分方便無間解脫三道，觀下六地為過失觀上諸地為靜寂，唯第四勝進道，或依一切法無我遍滿所緣是有漏，或作諦現觀無漏緣於上地者，此遊觀無漏。若欲斷惑觀，隨是何地無漏皆為之。

Ji says: Relying on the three paths of preparation, uninterrupted, and liberation in the threshold of the four dhyānas, one observes the lower six stages as faults and the higher stages as tranquil; only in the fourth, the path of superior progress, does one either rely on the pervasive cognitive object of selflessness in all phenomena, which is with taints, or make direct realization of the truths with a taintless object regarding higher stages—this is discursive taintless contemplation. If one wishes to practice contemplation to sever delusion, taintless contemplation of whatever stage is employed for it.
