18.261

有義：唯取六識俱觸以為食體。此師說意以能引自俱生喜愛等方名為食非七八故，然準諸文第二解勝。

There is an opinion: one takes only the contact associated with the six consciousnesses to be the entity of food. The intention of this master's explanation is that only that which can induce joy, craving, and so forth born together with itself is called food, and not the seventh and eighth [consciousnesses]; however, according to the various texts, the second explanation is superior.
