五十六明受欲及變壞。言一、麁變壞者，一期死也。二、細變壞者，念念死也。變壞分位亦二：一、麁：二、細者，還是前二，約位義說。

The fifty-sixth [topic] explains experiencing desires and deterioration. 'Coarse deterioration' refers to the death of a single lifespan. 'Subtle deterioration' refers to moment-to-moment death. The states of deterioration are also twofold: coarse and subtle, which are simply the former two spoken of in terms of states.
