In the second reiteration: 'transmigration' is the cause of birth and death, which has the desirable, the undesirable, and increase. 'Cessation' refers to the world-transcending, which also has the desirable and increase. The desirable and undesirable are causes for the factors of existence (*bhavāṅga*). 'Increase' means the increase of conventional factors of existence; or what previously did not exist and now exists is called 'desirable and undesirable', while what previously existed and now meets with moistening is called the 'cause of increase'.
