諸尋伺必是分別者，唯識第七有兩師：一云，分別唯有漏，五法之中第三分別也，故尋伺體不通無漏也；二云，分別通無漏，後得智謂有分別故，即尋伺體亦通無漏，此分別言必非五法中之分別也。

Regarding 'all investigation and reflection are necessarily discrimination', there are two masters in the seventh fascicle of *Vijñaptimātra*: The first says that discrimination is exclusively defiled, being the third, discrimination, among the five dharmas; therefore, the intrinsic nature of investigation and reflection does not extend to the taintless. The second says that discrimination extends to the taintless, because subsequent attainment wisdom is said to have discrimination; thus the intrinsic nature of investigation and reflection also extends to the taintless, and this word 'discrimination' is certainly not the discrimination among the five dharmas.
