示正義中，或復有苦雜因所生等者，因先善業得事王君，邪事為因而遍招苦，二業異熟故名雜因，非是二業苦招一果，或復故業應招苦惱，邪事王故故業便熟名為雜業。

Under "Demonstrating the correct doctrine, 'Or again, there is suffering arisen from mixed causes...'": because of past wholesome karma, one is able to serve a ruler, and with wrong service as the cause, suffering is brought about everywhere. Because the two karmas bring different fruitions, it is called a "mixed cause"; it is not that the suffering of the two karmas brings about a single fruit. Or again, past karma ought to bring about affliction, and because of wrongly serving the ruler, the past karma immediately ripens—this is called "mixed karma."
