2.98

又但明染淨，略無無記也。習氣依處，以有漏無漏內外，所有實種、假種、未成熟位，而為自性，此文唯依雜染種說之，淨不淨業引內外異故，不依無記清淨因說。唯識寬通，有潤種依體同習氣，但成就位與前不同，此亦唯說染。

Moreover, it only explains the defiled and the purified, omitting the indeterminate. The ground of support of perfumed impressions has as its nature all real and nominal seeds, whether defiled or undefiled, internal or external, in an unripened state. This passage speaks solely in terms of defiled seeds: because pure and impure karma lead to internal and external differences, it is not spoken in terms of indeterminate and pure causes. In the Vijñaptimātratā doctrine it is broader and more comprehensive: the ground of moistening seeds has the same substance as perfumed impressions, but its state of accomplishment differs from the former; this also speaks only of the defiled.
