20.34

依他五者，第一略明依他能生雜染有二種生。類前可解，略不辨能生清淨也；第二依依他計有遍計所執性故，能為遍計所執自性所依。又因俗入真故，及與圓成實自性作所依，約世俗與勝義諦作依處，故遍計所執性中不說也；第三、第四人法二執以依他性為所緣緣故，與彼二執作所依處；第五賴耶識與彼二執種作所依。

As for the five of the paratantra: First, briefly explaining that the paratantra can generate defilement, there are two kinds of generation, which can be understood by analogy with the preceding, briefly omitting that it can generate purity; second, because based on the paratantra one conceptualizes the parikalpita nature, it can serve as the support for the parikalpita intrinsic nature. Furthermore, because one enters the real by relying on the conventional, it also serves as the support for the pariniṣpanna intrinsic nature; in terms of the conventional serving as the support for the ultimate truth, it is not spoken of in the parikalpita nature; third and fourth, the two graspings of person and dharma take the paratantra nature as their objective condition, and therefore it serves as the support for those two graspings; fifth, the ālayavijñāna serves as the support for the seeds of those two graspings.
