21.451

應頌者，謂長行後宣說伽陀者，重宣前義。又略標所說不了義經者，長行雖說義猶未了，故今重頌令義顯了。

Geya [responsive praise] refers to reciting gāthā after prose to reiterate the preceding meaning. Moreover, "briefly presenting what was spoken in sūtras of provisional meaning": although the prose has spoken, the meaning is not yet clear, so now it is chanted in verse again to make the meaning evident.
