泰師云：及薩迦耶者，重辨世間，以薩迦耶是世間異名故。彼集及滅邊，如其次第重辨彼集滅邊。達師云：此四句中，前三別明三人，第四句總明前三人以為第四人。言沙門婆羅門者，外道沙門婆羅門，求生天果報者也。言當知者，勸辭也，此文可言應知，以勸令苦滅等故。

Master Tai says: 'Regarding "and the satkāya", this re-distinguishes the world, because satkāya is another name for the world. "Their arising and the limit of cessation", in their respective order, re-distinguish the limits of their arising and cessation.' Master Da says: 'Among these four lines, the first three explain the three persons separately, and the fourth line sums up the preceding three persons to make the fourth person. Regarding the phrase "śramaṇas and brāhmaṇas", these are non-Buddhist śramaṇas and brāhmaṇas who seek the retribution of heavenly rebirth. Regarding the phrase "one should know", this is an expression of exhortation; in this text it can be said to mean "ought to know", because it exhorts one to bring about the cessation of suffering and so forth.'
