第五解攝聖教，初開三章門，次別釋之。第三又先積集已下，凡釋經中諸句，言從後際苦至識緣名色等者，前之七支是前際苦集，識與名色展轉相依，譬如束蘆。言約第一義都無所有者，據理遍計所執實有作用畢竟無所有也。

Fifth, explaining the gathering of the noble teachings: first, three topical chapters are introduced, and next they are explained separately. The third, "Furthermore, previously accumulated..." below, generally explains the phrases in the sūtra. Regarding "from the suffering of the future horizon ... to consciousness conditioning name-and-form, etc.": the preceding seven factors are the suffering and origination of the past horizon; consciousness and name-and-form are mutually dependent, like bundles of reeds. Regarding "in terms of the ultimate truth, it is entirely non-existent": according to principle, the truly existent function conceived by parikalpita is ultimately non-existent.
