七、緣假實門，了相、勝解、加行究竟果三通緣假實，下明此三通攝勝解作意及真實作意故，觀察作意唯攝勝解作意，即唯緣假，餘三作意一向緣實，以無間道唯緣如故，此就前門，餘門隨應，如下當辨。

Seventh, the gate of apprehending the provisional or real: Apprehending characteristics, resolute intention, and the fruition of ultimate preparatory application—these three extend to apprehending both the provisional and the real, because below it is explained that these three broadly subsume both the mental application of resolute intention and the mental application of reality. The mental application of examination exclusively subsumes the mental application of resolute intention, and thus exclusively apprehends the provisional. The other three mental applications exclusively apprehend the real, because the uninterrupted path exclusively apprehends tathatā. This is according to the preceding gate; other gates follow accordingly, as will be distinguished below.
