有學作意有二：一、自性者性是無漏；二、在相續者約身分別，在學身中所有善作意若漏無漏皆名學作意。

Mental application of those in training has two kinds: 1. By intrinsic nature: its nature is taintless. 2. In the mental continuum: distinguished according to the person, all wholesome mental applications within the continuum of one in training, whether tainted or taintless, are called mental applications of those in training.
