基師解云：了相、勝解、究竟果三通攝勝解真實作意者，了相通在初修及無學，一切初修多唯勝解，無學等修多是真實；勝解既為近加行道理通假實；究竟果作意在根本地中一切時位假實理通。

Master Ji explains: 'Discerning characteristics, resolute faith, and the fruition of culmination—these three broadly subsume the mental application of resolute faith and reality because discerning characteristics extends to initial cultivation and to those beyond training: all initial cultivations are mostly solely resolute faith, while cultivations of those beyond training and so on are mostly real. Since resolute faith serves as near preparation, in principle it extends to both provisional and real. The mental application that is the fruit of culmination exists in the fundamental stage at all times and states, so in principle it extends to both provisional and real.'
