泰基同云：諸出家者名已出離，此有二類，一類不修涅槃方便者觀有貪無貪有瞋無瞋有癡無癡等，一類修涅槃方便者觀略心廣心下心舉心乃至善解脫心不善解脫心，是不染污相前三對觀非必順出世故，後七對順出世故。

Tai and Ji both say: All those who have left home are named "those who have renounced." Among them are two types: one type does not cultivate the means to nirvāṇa, and contemplates minds with lust and without lust, with hatred and without hatred, with delusion and without delusion, and so on; the other type cultivates the means to nirvāṇa, and contemplates constricted minds and expanded minds, low minds and elevated minds, up to well-liberated minds and not well-liberated minds. These are undefiled characteristics; the contemplation of the first three pairs does not necessarily accord with the supramundane, whereas the latter seven pairs accord with the supramundane.
