"Knowledge of emptiness refers to knowing that objective sphere as it truly is." What that treatise means to say is that both the emptiness of imagined dharmas and sentient beings and the empty nature of tathatā are called knowable emptiness: because when one contemplates the non-existence of the former, one sees the existence of the latter; and when one realizes the existence of the latter, one sees the emptiness of the former. Both the existence and the emptiness without duality are named objective emptiness. This speaks of that which is realized and that which is emptied by the practice of emptiness; the mind capable of contemplating it is named the knowledge of emptiness.
