第六四修定中，初為得現法樂住方便道中等者，四根本靜慮名現法樂住，為得此故修近分定，又根本地未圓滿清白，修諸根本定令得圓滿，通以有漏無漏善定為體。

Sixth, among the four cultivations of concentration: regarding the initial "in the preparatory path for obtaining dwelling in happiness in the present life, and so forth": the four fundamental dhyānas are termed 'dwelling in happiness in the present life'. In order to obtain this, one cultivates the threshold concentrations; furthermore, if the fundamental stage is not yet fully perfected and purified, one cultivates the fundamental concentrations to make them perfected. Their essential nature consists generally of tainted and taintless wholesome concentrations.
