第五工業明處中，生成工業者，謂養六畜成資生故，教生修成禮義。防邪工業者，謂織繡等，此方女工龜茲西多男作，故存本音名為防邪，男聲呼之，和合工業者能知鬪訟等。成熟工業者，謂成熟飲食。

In the fifth [station], the station of the arts and crafts (*śilpakarmasthāna*): 'productive arts and crafts' refers to raising the six kinds of livestock to accomplish the requisites of life, and teaching manners and righteousness to cultivate their completion. 'Protective arts and crafts' refers to weaving, embroidery, and the like; in this country these are women's work, but west of Qiuci they are mostly done by men, so retaining the original sound it is called 'protective' and called with a masculine noun. 'Harmonizing arts and crafts' refers to being able to understand litigation, disputes, and the like. 'Maturing arts and crafts' refers to cooking and preparing food and drink.
