等者，謂八百頌八界論字因緣，并千五百頌聞釋迦論及二千五百頌溫那地論，故名為等。
The word 'etc.' refers to the eight hundred verses of the *Aṣṭadhātu-śāstra* on the causes and conditions of letters, together with the one thousand five hundred verses of the *Viśāradīya-śāstra* and the two thousand five hundred verses of the *Uṇādi-śāstra*; hence it is said 'etc.'
