第五段有兩頌。釋中，說業為所隨識為能隨，果隨因故。勝義中無，又三世三業說不和合非於一世，又一世三業無實相應非無假法。若彼與此更互相應，如福等行無有和合者，更互相應說和合義，福等行三世三業決定無相應義。

The fifth section contains two verses. In the explanation, it states that karma is what is conformed to and consciousness is that which conforms, because the result follows the cause. In the ultimate truth, it does not exist. Furthermore, the three karmas across the three times are said not to harmonize, rather than within a single time; moreover, the three karmas within a single time have no real conjunction, yet are not without conventional phenomena. "If that and this are mutually conjoined, just as meritorious and other formations have no harmony": mutual conjunction describes the meaning of harmony; the three karmas across the three times of meritorious and other formations definitively have no meaning of conjunction.
