5.442

基師又云：謂修道諦諸有學者於過去世已死之時未習道故可由不調善死，現在未來由習道故不由不調善死，諸阿羅漢未來無死亦名不由調善死及不調善死，縱逸翻此。

Master Ji also says: "Trainees cultivating the truth of the path, when they died in past lives, could have died from lack of taming because they had not yet practiced the path; in the present and future, because they practice the path, they do not die from lack of taming. For arhats, because there is no death in the future, it is also said that they die neither from being well-tamed nor from lack of taming. Negligence is the opposite of this."
