第二頌中，由行信等五種善事得三種果，獲正信者信也，恥居家者慚也，受持戒者戒也，得衣服等者施也。所有正法等者法也，此釋初句，彼既成熟釋下三句。初名譽果即第二句，次解脫果證解脫處。

In the second verse, through practicing the five kinds of good deeds such as faith, three kinds of fruits are obtained. 'Attaining correct faith' refers to faith; 'feeling ashamed of household life' refers to shame (hrī); 'receiving and maintaining the precepts' refers to morality (śīla); 'obtaining clothing and so forth' refers to giving (dāna). 'All true Dharma' and so forth refers to the Dharma; this explains the first line. 'When these have matured' explains the lower three lines. The first, the fruit of reputation, is the second line; next, the fruit of liberation is 'realizing the abode of liberation'.
