6.134

有如是相，六處所攝者，景云：若依執性聲教中，雖不辨賴耶。今依大乘道理，說彼聲聞種姓無漏種子，一、須附在第八識中，以第八識即是第六所攝，展轉傳來，法爾所得。

Regarding "having such marks, subsumed under the six sense spheres": Jing says that if one relies on the vocal teachings that assert an essential nature, although the ālaya[vijñāna] is not distinguished, now, according to Mahāyāna principles, the untainted seeds of that śrāvaka gotra must, first, attach to the eighth consciousness; because the eighth consciousness is subsumed under the sixth [internal sense sphere], being transmitted successively, it is naturally obtained.
