6.244

第二番中有三：一、防護方便，即攝能防護及防過相；二、所防事，即六根六塵；三、正防護，即是六識行平等位心住捨中。

Within the second round there are three points: 1. the means of guarding and protecting, which subsumes that which can guard and protect and the marks of guarding against faults; 2. the matters to be guarded against, which are the six faculties and the six sense-data; 3. the actual guarding and protecting, which is the six consciousnesses practicing in the state of equanimity, the mind abiding in equanimity.
