若依俱舍三十七品實體唯十，謂慧勤定信念喜捨輕安及戒尋。今依大乘，實體唯九，以正思惟即慧所攝非思為體故。如下五十七云：三十七攝信等五根，信等五根不攝六四，謂八正中正語業命添喜安捨即名為六，若合戒為一足喜安捨即有四種，如是六四非信等攝。

According to the Kośa, the thirty-seven factors have only ten real entities: namely, wisdom, diligence, concentration, faith, mindfulness, joy, equanimity, pliancy, morality, and investigation. Now according to the Mahāyāna, their real entities are only nine, because right thought is subsumed under wisdom and does not have conceptualization as its entity. As stated below in fascicle 57: the thirty-seven subsume the five faculties such as faith; the five faculties such as faith do not subsume the six and four—namely, within the eightfold noble [path], right speech, right action, and right livelihood, added to joy, pliancy, and equanimity, are called the six; if one combines morality into one, adding joy, pliancy, and equanimity, there are four kinds; these six and four are not subsumed under faith and the others.
