基師復云：此中意明見死屍於過世曾有識時此現屍名外，當有識時名內，緣現有識身未來無識身內外亦爾，以現有識未來無識相似法性平等法性一相無異，乃至過去亦爾。

Master Ji further says: The intention here is to clarify that seeing a corpse at a past time when it once had consciousness, this present corpse is called external, and when it will have consciousness, it is called internal. Taking the presently conscious body and the future unconscious body as objects, the internal and external are likewise; because the presently conscious and the future unconscious have a similar reality, an equal reality, and a single characteristic without difference, and so on up to the past as well.
