解癡行中云：如說鈍根癡行，亦爾者，前說鈍根雖聞宣說麁淺言論而於法義勵力審思方能領受解了通達。今此癡行亦爾，聞說麁法尚不能解，況聞涅槃何能速解故，故聞為說通達涅槃能離雜染生死報果故生驚怖。

Explaining deluded conduct, it says: 'As dull faculties were explained, deluded conduct is also like that.' Previously it was explained that although those of dull faculties hear coarse and shallow discourse proclaimed, only after exerting effort to investigate and reflect carefully on the Dharma and its meaning can they receive, understand, and penetrate it. Now this deluded conduct is also like that: hearing coarse teachings explained, they are still unable to understand, let alone hearing of nirvāṇa—how could they quickly understand? Therefore, hearing explained the penetration of nirvāṇa and the ability to abandon the defiled retribution and fruition of saṃsāra, they give rise to alarm and fear.
