（泰云：）初性種為菩提心之所依止其習種姓建立菩提心，性種性為所依止故有堪任，以習種姓為建立故有大勢力，故種姓持持菩提心遠證菩提，菩提之心能得菩提故有堪任性，二種種姓能為菩提堪任性，故從果為名名堪任性。

(Tai says:) The initial innate gotra is that upon which the bodhicitta relies, while the acquired gotra establishes the bodhicitta. Because the innate gotra is the support, there is capability; because the acquired gotra is the establishment, there is great power. Therefore, the support of gotra supports the bodhicitta to remotely realize awakening. The bodhicitta can attain awakening, and therefore possesses the nature of capability; the two gotras can serve as the capability for awakening, and therefore it is named 'nature of capability' after the fruit.
