勝軍云：性種性無體，是故不論。習種望初地，無分別智有兩解：一云，有因緣，何以故，同是道諦故：一云，唯有增上緣，如小乘苦忍無自分因，五對佛果分別。

Jayasena said: The natural gotra has no substantial essence, and therefore is not discussed. Regarding the cultivated gotra with respect to the non-conceptual wisdom of the first stage, there are two explanations: One says there is a causal condition; why? Because both belong to the truth of the path. Another says there is only the sovereign condition, just as in the Hīnayāna the forbearance of suffering lacks a self-cause.
