第三緣由見正法將滅所以發心，即復有四：初、見菩薩法藏將滅；二、因見興念起護法心；三、於佛智深生信解；四、為得佛智所以發心。

The third condition is generating the mind by seeing that the correct Dharma is about to perish, which again has four: first, seeing that the bodhisattva Dharma-basket is about to perish; second, because of seeing it, bringing forth the thought and giving rise to the mind to protect the Dharma; third, deeply giving rise to faith and understanding in the Buddha's wisdom; fourth, in order to attain the Buddha's wisdom, therefore generating the mind.
